Description

Though not as widely known, Champagne Deutz stands shoulder-to-shoulder with well-known Champagne houses in terms of quality and tradition. Founded in 1838, Deutz has been a key producer in Aÿ, France ever since.

The 2018 vintage in Champagne was marked by exceptional weather conditions, with a hot, dry summer that promoted optimal ripeness of the grapes. These conditions produced concentrated, balanced wines with beautiful aromatic richness. This vintage is unanimously recognized for its ability to produce champagnes of great elegance and remarkable aging potential. Composed of 62% Pinot Noir from the grands crus of Aÿ, Verzenay and Bouzy, 34% Chardonnay from Villeneuve, Mesnil-sur-Oger and Chouilly, and 4% Pinot Meunier from Venteuil, this 2018 vintage is a masterpiece of blending. The grapes are vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats to preserve their freshness and aromatic purity. After blending, the wine undergoes a long aging process on lees, ensuring great complexity and a silky texture. The dosage, set at 8 g/L, perfectly highlights the balance between freshness and roundness. The 2018 Brut from Deutz champagne is a model of elegance and complexity. It is a champagne that charms with its fruity notes and finesse. It is an ideal cuvée to accompany a fine meal.

The 2018 Brut cuvée has a sparkling light gold color, enhanced by fine, regular effervescence. On the nose, pastry aromas of apricot and peach tart intertwine with notes of white flowers and almond powder. On the palate, the attack is straightforward and vibrant. Flavors of yellow fruit, flowers, and ripe almonds unfold with finesse. The finish, with its saline minerality, leaves a lingering impression of freshness.
