Traditionally grain whiskies are distilled in coffey(column) stills, however Nikka also distills a malt whisky in their famous Coffee Still located in the Miyagikyo Distillery. Chosen as the 'Japanese Whisky of 2018', Nikka Coffey Malt whisky started to be the center of attraction for many people at the bottle stores. Has a clean cut nose with citrus, christmas cake and waxy notes. Palate is dense and spicy with cloves, cinnamon and beautiful stone fruit. Long finish with oaky and zesty traces.
