Description
This distiller is quickly becoming a favorite amongst FPWM staff and customers. And this unique vino amaro further impresses our palates alike. MITHRADATES VI is a vino amaro inspired by Mithridatum. The creation of the original recipe is attributed to Mithradates VI, ruler of Pontus in the 1st century BCE, and it was regarded as one of the most complex and well-known herbal elixirs for centuries. It is made with a red wine from the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York using hybrid grapes that are fermented naturally with indigenous yeast and infused with over 32 botanicals. With notes of figs, cardamom, cedar, and mace, this amaro can be enjoyed neat or on ice.
