Description
The 2025 Terre Porziane Frascati Superiore is crafted using organic, old-vine grapes—predominantly Malvasia Puntinata, Malvasia di Candia, and Trebbiano—harvested from volcanic soils with intentionally low yields of around 20 hl/ha. Winemaker Antonio Pulcini utilizes artisanal, low-intervention methods, starting with a 4 to 5-day cold skin maceration and fermentation driven entirely by indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged on its fine lees until its bottling in March, protecting its vibrant fruit character without any oak influence. This meticulous process yields a deeply expressive tasting profile, opening with an aromatic bouquet of white flowers, peach skin, and Bosc pear, underpinned by a distinct crushed-rock minerality. On the palate, it balances a textured, slightly savory weight with a crisp, driving acidity, culminating in a salty, clean finish characteristic of classic Roman volcanic terroirs.
