Description
Tarlao is a family-run estate in Aquileia, a historic Friuli appellation whose vinous roots reach back to Roman times, and the winery has been guided across generations by the Tarlao family, with Francesco Tarlao now overseeing production. The property is known for working organically minded and for drawing character from Aquileia’s flat, maritime-influenced landscape and diverse soils, which include sandy limestone, gravel, clay, and alluvial elements that give the wines their tension and depth.
The 2024 Tarlao Pinot Bianco “Poc Ma Bon” pours a deep golden color and opens with aromas of ripe pear, apple, white flowers, and a subtle creamy note. On the palate, it is full-bodied and fleshy yet stays lively with brisk acidity, showing a balanced, elegant texture and a gentle toasted, leesy finish that adds length and nuance.
