We have been selling the Do Ferreiro Albariño for many vintages now and have certainly come to expect and rely upon its consistently high quality from vintage to vintage. Which is no surprise given that it is really the gold standard for Albariño, that crisp refreshing Spanish white that is a perfect Spring/Summer wine. The best Albariño comes from the beautiful appellation of Rías Baixas in the region of Galicia, the northwest corner of Spain. Founded in 1973, the Do Ferreiro is located in the sub-zone of Salnes, considered the best growing area of the region with its proximity to the ocean and protection from the steep Galician mountain ranges. The estate comprises 10 hectares, some of which include 200-year-old vines, and is farmed according to organic guidelines. Fermented in 100% stainless steel, the wine has complex aromas of minerals and salinity with a gorgeous mouth-filling texture and excellent acidity. A thoroughly thirst quenching yet elegant wine.
