Description
One of the grand old names of Rioja, López de Heredia is unusual for being equally, if not more, renowned for its whites than its reds. In either color, its wines are deeply traditional, with, in this case, long aging of four years in barrel. Made from 100% Viura, it’s nutty and golden in color but wonderfully fluent, with flashes of brightness like sunlight on a teak dashboard. Marvellous depth, silkiness, complexity.
