Description
The Summer 2023 bottling of The Senator is a well-aged whiskey made by MGP and bottled by Proof and Wood Ventures in Bardstown, Kentucky. Aged a minimum of 6 years in new charred oak barrels, mingling 10-20 select barrels. With a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley, the Senator is bottled at barrel proof to showcase the bold rye flavors. Upfront there is a nutty palate with notes of toffee, orange peel, herbs and light tobacco. Add a little water to enhance notes of chocolate brownies and blackberries.
