A wonderfully crisp and very dry 100% Chardonnay sparkling wine from Burgundy, France. Vitteaut-Alberti, a marriage of Frenchman Lucien Vitteaut with a French woman of Italian ancestry, Maria Alberti, has been producing sparkling wine in the village of Rully, Burgundy, since 1951. They produce wine under their own name as well as Crémant for several wine producers in Burgundy who do not have their own sparkling wine facilities. The founders' granddaughter, Agnes Vitteaut, joined the business in 2004 and helped modernize the operations and introduce this new style, CUVÉE AGNÈS sparkling to their line of Crémant. It is a remarkably pure and pristine expression of Chardonnay that recalls a great Blanc de Blancs Champagne for half the price. It is one of our best-selling sparklings and is the perfect accompaniment to fresh oysters or a sunny afternoon.
