We were so excited when we heard we could get Jose Dhondt in half bottles—what a wonderful way to enjoy the silky loveliness of this amazing Blanc de Blancs Champagne! Becky Wasserman and her son Peter, Americans who have been importing fine Burgundies for years, also bring to US shores an assortment of artisan Champagnes. One of our favorites from these tiny producers is José Dhondt Blanc de Blancs. With fruit from the village of Oger in Champagne's Côtes des Blancs, this lovely bubbly is 100% Chardonnay, and has the bright yellow apple and citrus flavors typical of the style.
