Master Distiller Carmen Villarreal Trevino scoured the aging room in Ojo de Agua to carefully choose the perfect barrels in order to bring Libelula’s reposado to life. Using a selection of tequila rested for 8 months in American oak bourbon barrels, the resulting golden liquid showcases the hand harvested blue agave and American wood. It is light in body and soft on the palate, with flavors of vanilla, cocoa, ground clove, and ripe red berries.
