Gold medal winner at the 2024 International Spirits Competition, Hibiki Japanese Harmony lives up to its legacy. Single malt whiskies from Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries are blended with grain whisky from Chita distillery, making this a layered and complex, yet approachable sipper. With a nose that offers orange blossom, apricot marmalade, baking spices and shaved oak. A little time in glass opens the whiskey nicely, showing layers of cloves and cinnamon. The palate is light-bodied and has honey-like sweetness with candied orange peel, white chocolate and grapefruit. The influence from the Mizanura casks gives way to notes of coconut and white flowers, ending with a balanced and peppery finish.
