Winemaker Akiko Freeman calls her Chardonnay, which was served by President Obama at a State Dinner for the Japanese Prime Minister, 'Ryo-fu'. It means ‘cool breeze’ in Japanese and is an apt name for this wine that expresses a cool acidity and lightness about it (compared to most other California Chardonnays.)
