Description
Fresh and juicy, with flavors suggesting green melon, pear, lime zest and grapefruit. A slow, three week fermentation in used oak barrels added a hint of creaminess to the middle palate. We featured the 2019 Syrah from Baldassari in one of our wine clubs last year, and it met with much enthusiasm. This is the first Sauvignon Blanc we have tasted from this small family winery, and it is delicious. Fruit came from the 600 acre sustainably-farmed Bavarian Lion Ranch in bucolic Knights Valley that straddles the boundary between Napa and Sonoma Counties. Approximately 200 cases made.
