Producer notes: "'Pearl' is Kelly Sparkman's first solo project, which she started in 2009. This 100% Sauvignon Blanc comes from three different vineyards within the Columbia Valley: Oasis and Gamache. While all vineyard sites have a cooler climate, providing less ripe, more acid-driven wines. Upon harvest, the grapes are whole-cluster pressed before going into small stainless steel tanks for fermentation. The wine is aged in tank for roughly 14 months. The wine is inspired by what would be a birth child of Sancerre and New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with notes of kiwi, lime, and crushed stones on the nose. On the palate, the wine is bright and clean with passion fruit, green apples, and bright minerality paired with lemongrass and Thai basil."
