Description
The 2022 Stratastone shines with almost equal parts G-S-M, offering an aromatic and inviting bouquet laced with blood orange, tea leaf, and whole-cluster-driven spice. The medium-weight palate is juicy and supple, with savory layers of cranberry, crushed rock, green olive, peppercorn, and a kiss of oak spice. Tea-like tannins and a sophisticated cut of acidity carry oak-infused mineral notes through to the finish.
34% Grenache, 33% Syrah and 33% Mourvèdre. Fermented as individual vineyard and varietal blocks. Grenache fermented with 30% whole cluster, Mourvèdre, and Syrah de-stemmed. ML conducted in 30% new French oak puncheon. Aged on primary lees for 18 months. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
