Description

McKinlay's Willamette Valley Pinot Noir has always represented fine value in our curated wine offering. In the past it has consistently offered bright raspberry and red cherry fruit on an elegant frame. This vintage has a slightly darker and deeper fruit profile due to the relative warmth of the ripening season. Working across all of the winery's vineyard holidings, it is "10 clonal selections…100% destemmed…native yeast…10 months French oak…unfiltered." Producer notes ~ "McKinlay is a small, 1,000-case family winery on the slopes of Parrett Mountain in Oregon's Willamette Valley that crafts exquisite Pinots. Made by Matt Kinne, the great-grandson of Oregon orchard farmer George Angus McKinlay, who uses native yeasts, minimal new oak and no additives. Filled with currant and summer cherry aromas that follow through on the palate, silky tannins, and balanced acidity. The ‘22 is glowing with vibrant, youthful energy; it’s a delightful value in week night Pinot."
