Description
As a leader in new Portuguese wine making, Luís Seabra has been dedicated to making fresh and elegant wines for nearly two decades in the Douro. While both his red and white wines showcase the unique terroir of various vineyard sites, Xisto Ilimitado provides an introduction to the dominant schist soil type with minimal interventions. A field blend of 60% Rabigato, 15% Gouveio, 15% Códega, and 10% Viosinho, the wine is fermented with indigenous yeast and aged on the lees for one year in predominantly used barrels. Beautifully balanced with peach and honeysuckle aromas, the wine brings out Meyer lemon, stone fruit and pear blossom on the palate before finishing with a touch of minerality and salinity.
