Description
While all of Domaine Huet's Vouvrays are lovely wines, there is something extra special with their demi-sec bottlings. This 2022 is the most recent example of the domaine's ability to strike just the right balance of sweet to dry 'off-dry' fruit character, revealing an unctuousness that is both exciting and exhilarating. Infused with a plethora of delicious flavors ranging from sweet nectarine to yellow apple and juicy pear, the gorgeous texture envelops the palate and glides smoothly to the honeysuckle finish of cleansing acidity. This creamy yet very focused beauty is only a baby now and has a long, wonderful life ahead of it. As the importer explains, Clos du Bourg is the site that founder, Gaston Huet viewed to be "the greatest of all Vouvray vineyards. With the Première Côte’s shallowest, stoniest soils, its wines often synthesize Le Mont’s intense minerality with Le Haut-Lieu’s generous texture."
