Description
Our guests sop this wine up so much from our $12/under section that it's hard to keep in stock and is a blend of 40% Merlot, 20% Syrah, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Grenache. It's a little unusual to blend the two main Bordeaux varietals with those of the Rhone Valley, but yet again it's a combination that works. The fruit shows a nice coming together of dark plum and blackberry, along with a slight herbal and floral note. The wine is medium bodied with medium plus concentration and finishes nicely with easy going tannins. It's a real slurper with a touch of earthiness, great on its own or with grilled meats and roasted lamb.
