Description

Just as in past vintages, this is a delightful and cheerful rose, pretty darn next to impossible to beat for an organically farmed Rosé at under $12 a bottle. It is a blend of 50% Grenache, 30% Carignan and 20% Syrah that was fermented, then aged in stainless steel tanks for six months. It is very consistent with previous years with the same pretty rose and salmon pink color and a nose awash in fresh strawberry aromas. The palate has a soft somewhat round texture with flavors of juicy ripe strawberries. The finish is clean and dry and makes you want to keep on sipping. The Guibert family certainly knows how to make great wine, from their phenomenally well aged Mas de Daumas Gassac red and white blends to this second line of Moulin de Gassac value driven wines.
