Dating from the early 18th century, the Malat family winery has recently been handed down from Gerald to his son Michael. Sourced from multiple sites growing on loess soils rich in limestone, silty sand, and clay. Manual harvest with a delicate, slow pressing of grapes, fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maturation in steel tanks.
This is gorgeous, fresh, vibrant and broad Grüner Veltliner that comes from the Kremstal region in Austria. It is a fresh and bright, mouth-watering style of Grüner that begins to show more culinary herbal characteristics so associated with this variety. It's a superb all-rounder of a white that is delicious with a very wide range of cuisine. Low sulfur and organic.
