Description
The proprietary name Promis (pronounced proh-MEESS) was created by the Gaja family to denote commitment, expectation, fulfillment, and hope. The promise of quality and the reward of diligence and excellence.
The grapes are grown in the terre brune (rich, dark soils) which consist primarily of loam and clay. This wine shows aromas of ripe fruits, black cherry and black plum. It then unfolds in a complex and deeper way on the nose, with charming notes of sandalwood and essential oils. Always an approachable wine, the Promis blend is also well-structured and voluptuous in the mouth, yet with a refreshing acidity.
