From the producer~ Cathy and William love Riesling, and they jumped at the opportunity to purchase grapes from the historic Wirz Vineyard. These 60 year-old dry-farmed vines grow on their own roots(!), in limestone and granite sand.
Riesling is one of the most distinguished and versatile grape varieties in the world. This wine is inspired by the wines of Alsace, with honey crisp apple, pear and stone fruit flavors joining apricot and honey notes, the result of botrytis. Orange blossom perfume lights up the aromas, and stony minerality gives it verve. Totally dry, it is wildly fruity and full-bodied.
