Alessandro Rossi's La Gerla, with its 13 acres of Brunello vineyards, is a boutique estate in the heart of Montalcino. Since 1998 the core business has always been to grow grapes that were sold to Alessandro’s father estate. In 2012, after the loss of his father, Alessandro decided to start his own production with a small selection of his grapes, under the supervising of one of the “master” Italian winemaker Maurizio Castelli and his professional team. The name “Aisna” in Etruscan (the ancient language of Tuscany) means “Divine”, because for him wine is something special—you may not drink it often, but when you do it you have to enjoy it deeply.
