L.N. Mattei Cap Corse Apéritif Blanc is defined by a number of its Corsican components. Its wine base is of the island's most famous white grapes, Muscat and Vermentino. These grapes lend a terrific minerality and acidity to the mixture. The local Cedrat (also known as citron) adds unique citrus aroma and bitter elements. As a quinquina, the cinchona bark (quinine) adds depth in the back palate to compliment the wine, herbs and fruit. Serve on ice with a splash of soda. Also, wonderful in numerous classic cocktails.
