Description
Red Stitch is a joint effort of Rich Aurilia (SF Giants) and Dave Roberts (manager of the LA Dodgers). We are often cynical when approached by wineries with a celebrity tie-in because the wines too often seem to trade more on the fame than actual quality, but Red Stitch is a notable exception. The wines are first-rate in every way. This lovely Chardonnay comes from the 1,000-foot-high Sierra Mar Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands and shows the depth and richness one expects from the region, along with very bright acidity, which is a hallmark of this great vineyard planted by Gary Franscioni of Roar Wines.
