Description

It's no secret we are big fans of the wines from Scribe. Brothers, Adam and Andrew Mariani are not only doing a great thing by resurrecting the old, pre-Prohibition historic Dresel wine estate in Sonoma County into a modern-day wine property with re-vitalized organically farmed vineyards and a new winery. They are also making a lot of great wines! While they don't produce anything in significant quantities, we are proud to sell as many bottles as we can of whatever bottlings we are lucky to procure.

Here is how the brothers view this delicious wine, "We've been making this wine since 2007 – our first vintage. Its primary fruit source is nearly 30-year-old California heritage clone Pinot Noir (Martini) planted in the breezy, loamy heart of Carneros. We ferment with native yeast in steel and concrete – about 30% whole cluster – and age 7 months in neutral oak with minimal intervention. It’s a vibrant, fruit driven expression of Carneros and a favorite of early Scribe followers."
