88% Cabernet Franc, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon. Only 165 six-pack cases were produced. This is a deeply flavored and rich Cabernet Franc with the structure to age 15-20 years when properly cellared. Oakville Ranch has been organically farmed for years and is situated at the top of the Oakville AVA on the east side of Napa Valley bordering Pritchard Hill—the area producing some of Napa's most sought-after Cabernet Sauvignon. Soils here are red and volcanic, and three quarters of Oakville Ranch has been left as natural habitat. A significant percentage of the fruit grown on the ranch is sold to other wineries, so even if you have never heard of Oakville Ranch, you may well have consumed wines that included their sought-after grapes. And finally, Oakville Ranch is owned and operated by women.
