Description
A very rich and deeply flavored Northern Rhône red. The Syrah was co-fermented with 3% Viognier, an approach which adds aromatic lift to the nose and softens the tannins a bit. Cellar-worthy for 10–20 years, with the promise of greater complexity in time. Aromas of red and black fruits, purple and red flowers, light pepper and toast. Full-bodied and deep, with notable mineral poise and energy; present yet fine-grained tannins.
