Victory Brewing Co. officially opened its doors in February 1996 in Downingtown, PA, but the story begins when Bill Covaleski met fellow fifth-grader Ron Barchet on the bus to school in 1973. They quickly became friends and shortly after graduating from college, began to explore the possibilities of homebrewing. Over time, and as they became more proficient with mash temperatures and hopping rates, the two young men began to view their shared hobby in terms of its career potential. ‘Prima!’ It’s a German exclamation of joy. It’s a recognition of accomplishment. It’s what escaped from their lips the first time they sampled this mighty pilsner recipe. With heaps of whole flower European hops and fine German malts, Victory Brewing achieved the bracing herbal bite and smooth malt flavor that we sought. Prima… an exclamation of Victory! Prost! ABV: 5.3% Loads of earthy, herbal noble hop character with subtle malt complexity in the aroma. Flavor is very hop forward with ample bitterness. Balanced malt and clean fermentation.
