Another fine rose from Jean Vesselle. This time it's a Demi Sec, and althought some Demi Secs can be overly sweet, Delphine has crafted a lovely, elegant wine with just the right amount of residual sugar to give the essence of a sweet wine without all the cloying unctuous qualities so many Demi Secs can have. With its beautiful pink hue, it's a Champagne that can be enjoyed at the end of the meal with delicate fruity desserts or on its own if you're craving something sweet but don't want all the calories. While it would be ideal to enjoy with chocolate on Valentine's Day, it really goes well any day of the year! And need we add that this is a much better choice with the typical wedding cake than any bone-dry bubbly on the planet?? 80% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay, 35 gr/liter dosage.
