Description

Fino is the driest and lightest in color (pale, almost neutral straw) style of Sherry that is raised in Soleras in the port town of El Puerto de Santa Maria (as opposed to Manzilla which is a Fino raised in Solera in the port town of Sanlúcar de Barrameda). This Puerto Fino from Lustau is very dry, light, crisp and refreshing with a salty sea air essence similar to the Manzanilla Papirusa but with perhaps a touch more essence of the the yeasty flor. It is ideal as an ingredient in cocktails or on its own as a fun way to get the evening going, like so many Spaniards do in the southern region of Andalusia.
