The Broadbent name has been synonymous with fine wine for more than four decades, beginning with the renowned career of British wine critic, writer and auctioneer Michael Broadbent and continuing with his son, the importer Bartholomew Broadbent. Broadbent has partnered with family-owned wineries around the globe to produce wines rich with the essence of place and tradition Sercial Madeira is the driest of these sweet wines. So, although it's still sweet, it just isn't nearly as sweet as, say, a Malmsey Madeira. Pretty and racy, offering streaks of singed almond, dried orange peel, tangerine and peach, with a tangy salted caramel echo at the very end. Such a pleasure to drink and the only wine that you can open and drink for years to come.
