Yet another incredibly well made Chardonnay from the Talley Vineyards Estate in Arroyo Grande Valley. The majority of the fruit comes from the single estate vineyards Rincon and Rosemary's with 8% coming from the Monte Sereno Vineyard. The wine is typically fermented in 15% new French barrels and aged for about nine months in the same amount of new wood to give it a nice texture without any overt woody character. The aromas and flavors are impressively consistent from vintage to vintage and usually show lemon and lime citrus with a little Braeburn apple skin and honeysuckle that comes through on the clean finish of minerality and wet stone. It is consistently one of the best priced and well made Chardonnays in California and we have been proud to sell it every year without fail.
