Description

From the producer: We are proud to introduce our limited edition “Save Restaurants” Syrah, a 240-case project with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the Independent Restaurant Coalition (IRC), an alliance fighting to save small restaurants and bars affected by Covid-19. It’s an honor to join industry legends and IRC leaders Caroline Styne (Los Angeles – A.O.C, Tavern), Bobby Stuckey, M.S. (Colorado – Frasca Food & Wine, Pizzeria Locale) and Ivy Mix (New York – Leyenda) in championing this cause through our craft. Styne, Stuckey and Mix, among many other high-profile restaurateurs, chefs, and bartenders involved with the IRC, are raising awareness for the Restaurant Act of 2020, which would make available 120 billion dollars in assistance for the Independent Restaurant Revitalization Fund. Eleven million people nationwide are directly employed by independent restaurants, as are an additional five million workers up and down the food supply and delivery chain who depend on restaurants for their livelihood. These restaurants and bars are not only the backbone of the wine industry, they are also vital cultural centers for our society. We feel that it is time for us to serve an industry that has been serving our culture for decades upon decades. This is an uncertain time, but it is at times like these that we need to mobilize and help each other. Melville will not be selling this wine directly through our website or tasting rooms with hopes that you will directly support the restaurants and retailers throughout the United States carrying this wine.
