The wines of Domaine Huet have long been considered the finest and most age worthy of the Vouvray appellation. You won't get any arguments from us on that point. Of the three main vineyards on the estate, the bottlings from the Le Mont site typically deliver the richest, most aromatic expressions of the amazingly complex Chenin Blanc grape. This 2019 is a fine example of that complexity. The palate is medium to full bodied and broad with enveloping and evolving layers of flavors. Amongst the core notes of juicy stone fruits, pear, honey and even a little ginger, lies an enticing streak of pure minerality that Le Mont so clearly expresses year after year. The best way to experience the wines of Huet is to enjoy some now, then tuck some away in your cellar for a decade or two to see how spectacularly they age. We promise it will be worth the wait!
