From the producer: The Spear Vineyard is a Certified Organic vineyard planted right in the heart of Sta. Rita Hills. Liquid Farm began working with it in 2015 and its fruit can be largely found on the 'SBC' Pinot Noir. The grapes are handled with minimum intervention, as it's the rule for all LF wines. After harvest, the grapes are fermented in open-top, stainless steel with punch downs throughout and 10% stem inclusion. The wine is then aged for 15 months in 15% new French oak.
