The Mascarello family's 2018 Langhe Freisa Toetto is made from just half a hectare of vines in Castiglione Falletto. Part of this site has now been replanted to Nebbiolo, and that means that only 3,000 to 4,000 bottles of Friesa are produced each year. Great care is taken in winemaking. Clayey, calcareous composed of grey marl and brown clay of marine origin. Traditional-style, floating cap fermentation of selected estate-grown grapes for 15/20 days. The wine is matured in medium-sized Slavonian oak barrels for approximately 15 months. The Toetto vineyard has been in the Mascarello family since 1987
