Jerome worked for eight years in the cheese industry in the Loire Valley before moving to Burgundy to work with Alain Burguet in Gevrey-Chambertin. He then became inspired to make wine of his own and bought his first tiny plot in 2002. He farms organically in 70% of the vineyards and sustainably in 30%. Jerome bottles with minimal sulfur addition. Orane, named after his daughter, is a beautifully plush and generous Burgundy, with phenomenal structure, thus it has both complexity and balance.
