This 2016 Vina Mein is a blend of 70% Treixadura along with Godello, Loureira, Albariño and Lado. It was fermented in stainless steel and aged with extended lees contact. Thus, it has great concentration of flavors mostly in the crisp green and red apple realm and excellent, bright balancing acidity. While it also shows great texture and breadth, it also ends up feeling linear and lean at the same time thanks to that crisp finish. Javier Alen has proven himself to be a very bright light in Ribeiro and he is single handedly bringing the region back to its glory from hundreds of years ago when its wines were considered among the best in the world during the 16th and 17th centuries.
