Azienda Agricola DeGiorgis Sergio Website The winery is located in the small village of Mango, surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the Langhe region, rich in history and wine making traditions. Sergio and Patrizia Degiorgis run this small 20 acre property. Only three or four bunches are left on each vine. 50% of the grapes are harvested in mid-September and dried in wooden boxes (“appassimento”). The remaining 50% are left to mature and concentrate on the vines for an additional month and are harvested in mid-October. Manual harvest then aged twenty-four months in barrique. Very intense floral Moscato aromas. Full-bodied in the mouth, with ripe fruit flavors, including hints of tropical fruit. Great length, with a finish that’s sweet but not cloying. Drink with cheesecake or an after dinner cheese course.
