As one of the longest standing Champagne houses, Lanson consistently produces seamless non-vintage and vintage Champagnes in their own distinctive way. They set themselves apart from the plethora of iconic houses in their adherence to a specific house style which focuses on preserving acidity and varietal character in addition to practicing exceptionally long aging in the cellar for both their vintage and non vintage wines.
From the producer:
The Millésime Gold Label is a blend of roughly half and half Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which is made exclusively from the Grands Crus and left to blossom in the Cellar for at least 5 years.
The 2005 harvest produced tender wines of exceptional quality. Gold Label 2005 therefore offers a full and fleshy mouthfeel that explodes with honey-dew flavours punctuated by sweet spice. It has great complexity and superb harmony.
