This is one tasty Zinfandel in a can. Medium-bodied and juicy with gentle tannins, it goes down nice and easy, sometimes perhaps a little too easy. The fruit comes from an old head-pruned, organically and dry-farmed block of Poor Ranch Vineyards in Mendocino. Jake Stover and Gina Gina Schober founded Sans Wine Co. in 2015. Their mission is to bring well-made, mindfully crafted wines to the canned wine world by "sourcing premium wine grapes from organically farmed vineyards and environmentally conscience growers in order to craft natural wines." They describe this 2016 Zinfandel as follows, "aromas of rose petals and violets, ripe strawberry, red cherries and pomegranate with flavors of black cherries, red licorice, rose and strawberries and cream. We like this wine with a slight chill. Don’t be afraid to put in the ice chest!"
