We don't mean to sound boastful when we say that we are very proud of our half bottle selection. We hand pick wines for that section the same way we do for the rest of the store, with discerning palates and an eye towards delivering great value for the price. This Paul Dolan Pinot Noir has probably been one of our best sellers, not just because of the great $12 price tag but because of what's in the bottle. Sourced from select sites in Mendocino's Potter Valley, Paul aged this 2014 for four months in 20% new and 80% neutral American oak barrels. It shows its Mendo personality well with a slight mushroom-earthy quality to go along with the snappy red cherry and spice flavors. The texture is incredibly smooth and it glides quite easily to a very satisfying finish of good balancing acidity.
